Racing Crew Bank

The goal of the FBYC racing crew bank is to match up skippers looking for crew with crew looking to boats to race on. Your information will be shared with skippers looking for crew and they will contact you if they have a suitable opening or need a temporary fill in. You don't need to be a member of FBYC however, if you do join a regular crew or participate on a regular basis you should apply for a crew membership, if you are not already an FBYC member.

Dress Code

Members and guests are asked to respect the volunteers’ boats and wear only non-marking-soled shoes when participating in the racing crew bank. Dark soled shoes leave hard to clean marks on boat decks. Bare feet are not recommended. Also recommended are sailing gloves and your own PFD (personal flotation device).

Minimum Age Requirement

The minimum age of any crew bank participant  is 16 years of age or older.

Crew Etiquette

Every boat takes work to set up and shut down. Ask your skipper how you can lend a hand to prepare for the race! Arriving early is a good way to get familiar with the job you will be doing and a great opportunity to meet the skipper and crew of the boat you will be sailing on.  Remember that your help is also needed in derigging the boat after racing. Assistance is always appreciated!

We are going to try hosting a buy and sell on the website.

If you are interested in selling an item please email me the relevant info (description, price, contact etc.) and I will get it posted. Please don't forget to let me know to remove it once you have sold or are no longer interested in listing your item on the web site.

Please note this section is open to everyone, not just club members and let's keep it boating themed. I'm sure you kittens, puppies and spouse are adorable but would be a better place to list them.

And don't forget about our marine auction and bake sale fundraiser!
